Good
Project Management (PM) begins with a strong concept and clear goals.
A concept is a product of the mind. Achieving goals is a product of
the mind at work. At Imagine That Design and Production, Inc. minds
are at work - creating ideas, generating solutions, and moving forward
with confidence. Earned value is a management technique that relates resource planning to schedules and to technical cost and schedule requirements. All work is planned, budgeted, and scheduled in time-phased ''planned value'' increments constituting a cost and schedule measurement baseline. There are two major objectives of an earned value system: to encourage contractors to use effective internal cost and schedule management control systems; and to permit the customer to be able to rely on timely data produced by those systems for determining product-oriented contract status. The benefits to project management of the earned value approach come from the disciplined planning conducted and the availability of statistics which show real variances from the project plan in order to generate necessary corrective actions. We know it all sounds very "technical" but the benefit is - You know what's happening every step of the way...no surprises...no unexpected change orders! To
achieve project success, the completion of each phase in the project
requires that all design development, construction and management tasks be
accomplished in a well-documented and deliverable manner. The
Imagine That Project Management TEAM documents and delivers, using the
latest in computer-aided equipment and software and good, old-fashioned
communication and teamwork. From our years of Project Management
experience, Imagine That believes, above all else, that communication and
teamwork foster project success. |
